Discord voice chat is now available on PS5! This means that you can chat with your Discord friends while you’re playing games on your PS5, or even join voice chats from your PC or mobile device.
To use Discord voice chat on PS5, you need to link your Discord account to your PlayStation Network account. This can be done on either your PS5 or on the Discord app.
To link your Discord account to your PlayStation Network account on your PS5:
- Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Linked Services.
- Select Discord and then Link Account.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to link your accounts.
To link your Discord account to your PlayStation Network account on the Discord app:
- Open the Discord app and log in to your account.
- Click on your profile icon in the top left corner of the screen and select Settings.
- Click on Connections on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Click on the PlayStation logo and follow the instructions on the screen to link your accounts.
Once your accounts are linked, you can start using Discord voice chat on your PS5.
To start or join a voice chat on Discord on PS5:
- Open the Discord app on your mobile device or computer.
- Log in to your account and start or join a voice channel.
- Select the option to Join on PlayStation.
- Select your PS5 console from the list of available devices.
Your PS5 will turn on and a notification will appear on your screen. Select View Discord Voice Chat to open the Discord voice chat card. You can also open the voice chat card from the control center.
Use your controller’s built-in mic or a headset to talk with the other members in the voice chat.
Note that Discord voice chat on PS5 is currently in beta. This means that there may be some bugs or performance issues.
